Dan Morehead: Bitcoin and blockchain can transform 50 industries

According to Dan Morehead, CEO of Pantera Capital, an investment company, Bitcoin has every chance of transforming up to 50 industries.

Morehead emphasized that in the near future, Bitcoin and blockchain will be able to change such traditional tools as voting systems, international money transfer systems, electronic money transfers, identification systems and so on.

According to him, at the moment, blockchain and Bitcoin are still quite young technologies. Although many believe that distributed registry technology will not be able to occupy a significant niche, Morehead believes that the blockchain will survive and even destroy some of today's systems.

CEO Pantera Capital was also asked about his opinion on the use of Bitcoin as a currency. Morehead said that this is just another currency of more than 200. However, the world needs one single common currency, and Bitcoin will probably become just such a currency.

According to Morehead, people believe that Bitcoin lacks a really useful application. However, Bitcoin itself is such an application - it is already transforming the traditional financial system. The first cryptocurrency was never hacked, the attackers could not influence it in any way.

Pantera Capital's CEO said that many people call Bitcoin "digital gold," which means that the capitalization of the first cryptocurrency can grow to $ 7 trillion, equal to metallic gold.

Earlier, Dan Morehead stated that the Bitcoin exchange rate would reach $ 42,000 by the end of the year.
