RESEARCH: AMERICAN STUDENTS OFTEN INVEST IN CRYPTOCURRENCIES
According to a study by Save the Student, the number of American students investing in cryptocurrencies has tripled over the past year. If last year a similar survey showed that only 2% of students in the United States bought cryptocurrencies, now, according to the study, this figure has increased to 6%. The reason for this is tuition fees, which are a very important issue for American students.
Usually a special "student" loan is taken to pay for tuition. Most of the students pay off part of the loan already during their studies - they take part-time jobs and work. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the number of such vacancies has decreased significantly and students had to look for new ways to earn money. At the same time, students do not always conduct a thorough research of an asset before investing. This often results in losses. In addition, the information noise around digital assets pushes to invest in cryptocurrencies. People invest "on hype", not always understanding the risks and not following effective investment strategies. Note that according to Alba Heaven, every fourth student in South Korea buys cryptoassets.
